Casper stops, not wanting to push off Aventurine but not wanting to disobey his father. He inhales sharply and mutters under his breath to his fellow passenger. "Just... don't - I don't want you to get hurt..."
His father turns and folds his arms, looking down at Aventurine. "It's his problem as well. You do know his mother is quite powerful, yes? And I'm sure he's complained about the state of the world to people here - and he has no small part to play in fixing things. As for him being an 'adult'... in some aspects legally, yes. But just because he's a demigod does not mean that he's any less foolish."
Bob tucks his head in as the older man's gaze falls on him. "You're no fool, I know you're not. Tell him that we need to get home." The bird doesn't make a peep and Casper shifts the shoulder with Bob away from his father protectively.
"A... Aventurine. It's... okay..." He tries not to lie. He's bad at lying. And it's incredibly obvious to someone like Aventurine who's skilled at reading people that it is most definitely not okay. "I do need to get home... my world does need me..." He doesn't want to, though.
