You can watch as the realization hits him, and his eyes widen, almost comically. He has a name. But he will admit, to himself, that it's kind of a dumb name. He hesitates for a second, makes a blustering noise, and then says: "Darkness. My name is Darkness."

He never considered being somewhere where someone would both genuinely care about that name and also, not already know him.

That said: "You know what? I would love if you set the hat on fire," he says, with glee.
