"Mmhrph!" Thancred flinches back at the mushroom being shoved against his lips. He looks down, almost cross-eyed to see it, and that is certainly not a mushroom he has ever seen in his life. Why does it look like it has eyes?? And why is this baby so insistent that he eats it? Raw, no less. Not like he has means to cook the thing but. His confusion is growing to immense levels by the second.
Thancred also knows better than to eat a fungus without knowing what it is. That's like survival 101. And yet... he doesn't want to disappoint the baby. So he, tentatively, takes a bite out of the red part of the mushroom. He can't quite discern the taste and thinks it better to just swallow the damn thing before his brain kicks back into gear.
And yet he? Sort of feels better? How??? He took a bite. Surely the weird magic mushroom this baby just pulled out of his overalls pocket isn't actually like...
