SO BELOW - EVENT LOG

SO BELOW
With a slightly bump that can be felt throughout the ship, progress levels out. The skies above are threatening rain, but there aren't any drops falling from the sky... Yet.

Not that you'd know it, looking out the windows. A foreign ocean stands outside, on the other side of the glass - the ghost of an ocean, long gone from the truth of this world.

Just like so many other things, which have become visible to those who are willing to pay attention.

This is the event log for SO BELOW. Information for the first part of the Event (days 15 and 16) can be found here, along with sign-up options for the second part of the event.

"Mr. Kaeya." Wriothesley manages to look away from the window long enough to acknowledge the other Cryo user's presence with a smile and nod before his gaze is dragged back out to the depths. "I haven't spotted anything yet..." But he feels like there will be something, the next time he looks. And he can't afford to miss it.

"It does remind me a bit of parts of my home, though those waters have a lot more life in them. Have you ever travelled to Fontaine?" He's not sure how much travelling the Knights of Favonius get to do, but it's not out of the question. There's something about an expeditionary force that tickles the back of his mind - a mention in the Steambird, maybe?

Kaeya pauses and watches the waters and nods, watching the outside trying to match the intensity, albeit more confused and tired. Perhaps he saw something? "Has there been maybe a rumor going on you heard that I missed out on? Perhaps a large ghostly whale swimming by or something?"

"I can't say I have, work as a Knight has sadly kept me rooted at home, especially with the Grandmaster and all of my calvary out on expedition. We need to keep as many knights we can," Kaeya mumbles. He stifles another yawn, "Though... the sight reminds me of Falcon Coast.... Lots of good memories there. It's probably nothing like your waters... but it's home."

He pauses and sighs, "I do wonder how everyone is doing back in Mondstadt."

"No, no dead whales so far. Just... a feeling." A feeling that there is something out there, waiting for them - or coming to find them. An unsettling thought either way.

"Well, I've never made it to Mondstadt either, so I can't fault you on that one." Though it's a little odd that the cavalry seems to have left without their captain? But Wriothesley's not a military officer, what does he know? He's sure there's some tactical reason for it. "I wonder the same thing about Meropide. I hope nobody's giving Sigewinne a hard time... I suppose it's almost too much to hope that nobody's taking advantage of my absence." After all, he has now left the desk just as vacant as his predecessor did before Wriothesley took it. Hopefully someone who is just as thorough about their paperwork steps up.

"Care to describe it? Anything dangerous?" he asks. He has no idea exactly what is going on, but it is important to keep an eye on anything that could harm the ship. Considering everything, it was the only thing keeping them all alive at the moment.

Kaeya hums and mutters, "We have enough Captains that someone surely could take my place for now... but I'm afraid of other issues popping up if I am gone too long myself. Particularly treasure hoarders. I have a good record of keeping them from causing trouble."

Kaeya folds his hand and asks, "Do you think we should take a walk before returning to the windows? Perhaps that might bide us some time? Or the balcony..."
