SO BELOW - EVENT LOG

SO BELOW
With a slightly bump that can be felt throughout the ship, progress levels out. The skies above are threatening rain, but there aren't any drops falling from the sky... Yet.

Not that you'd know it, looking out the windows. A foreign ocean stands outside, on the other side of the glass - the ghost of an ocean, long gone from the truth of this world.

Just like so many other things, which have become visible to those who are willing to pay attention.

This is the event log for SO BELOW. Information for the first part of the Event (days 15 and 16) can be found here, along with sign-up options for the second part of the event.
beautyyearningknight: (Oh!)

One Visitor Deserves Another! Although hopefully this one is more pleasant.

Argenti sighs to himself, lying on his back on his bed.

He'd been trying to fall asleep for the last two hours, but all he'd managed were some fitful bursts of dozing off. He supposed even that was something. But it was frustrating all the same how much sleep eluded him.

It had been impressed upon him by the good doctor that rest was highly important to him recovering from his illness... so why was it that when he needed it most, his body rejected it?

Such was the conundrum of being ill he supposed, dourly.

At this point he was somewhat tempted to just get up and take a late night stroll... he'd been considering the option for the last twenty minutes, mind foggy and undecided.

As he's weighing his options he hears a scream accompanied by a heavy thud.

He sits bolt upright, ignoring his head spinning slightly and body aching in protest. That sounded like a body hitting a hard surface. Somebody could be injured.

Not taking a moment's more hesitation he threw off his bed-covers and marched out his door, pushing all sense of discomfort from his recovering body aside.

Emerging in the hall he cast his gaze about, there was nobody lying prone or injured, it was all clear.

Then perhaps...

He'd been too ill recently to check and see if he had any neighbors, a true shame, as he would very gladly meet anyone who he would be spending time and adjacent space with. He'd made up his resolve to fix that as soon as he was physically able...

He walked up to one of his neighboring doors and gave it a firm few knocks, hoping not to be so loud as to cause a disturbance, but loud enough to signal the individual inside.

"Hello? Is anyone in there? Are you alright? I heard a scream." His tone was full of worry, hoping he wouldn't be too late if someone had hit their head or otherwise injured themselves.
