EVENT - Ripple and Warp IC log (part 1!)

ripple and warp
Hello and welcome to the IC log for Pluviosa's Fourth Wall event, Ripple and Warp!

In addition to providing information about how characters arrive on the new deck (whether they're existing passengers or not), this post also serves as a place where Fourth Wall characters can post top-levels without joining the game community.

Further information on Fourth Walls in general and the other accompanying OOC updates to the game can be found on the OOC information post here. This post also serves in lieu of a regular between-events Test Drive.

Finally, you may now start sending in your applications to keep your AU, CRAU, and so on characters around after the Fourth Wall! Be sure to note the minor changes to the Applications page (namely, the addition of an "AU information" section).

Without further ado - How did you get here? And more importantly, where is 'here' anyway?

existing characters

Whether or not characters remember falling asleep on the evening of Day 37, they wake up somewhere different on Day 38, lying on a couch in an almost-familiar room. The couch is similar to the ones in the lounge, though those with keen noses will note that the cushions don't smell the same - there's no scent of your fellow passengers, or of the faint hint of an unknown, arid place that first accompanied the clean furnishings the Ship dragged out.

The room isn't one you've been in before, either, but it's still clearly on the Ship somewhere - there's the familiar motion of the legs moving, and the overhead emergency lights (the only source of light initially in the room) are the same as the ones in the hallways on Fern that the Ship has been working so hard to restore. However, that doesn't mean that it's hard to see - indeed, considering the contents of the room, the low lighting might be a blessing in disguise.

It's full of mirrors.

Not only the sorts of mirrors that character would expect to find, the ones that have been missing from the Ship's bathrooms and other expected places, though there are certainly plenty of those in the room - but the walls, the door, and the ceiling are also all mirrors. Mirrors hang on a portion of the larger furniture in what appears to be the living room of a suite. It's not as dramatic as it could be, but aside from the couch characters wake up on, it's pretty close. The floor, at least, is not reflective mirrors, though it's not much less shiny - instead of the usual hotel-esque carpet of the suites, there's seamless stone tile in stormcloud grey, slight variations in the color indicating marble. And all of those reflective surfaces are perfectly clean - although it's possible to find dried spots of decay on the backs of the mirrors, overall, it seems as though time doesn't have claim on this part of the Ship, much less the Growth.

And of course, where there are mirrors, there are reflections.

Some of them - probably the majority - are normal, perfect mirrors of the person the character expects to see. Some of them are distorted, but in a normal, mundane way - funhouse mirrors among the panels on the walls, making you wide or skinny or warped.

And then some of them show reflections of you that are distorted, not as in bent, but as in there being something different about the you that's in them. Different clothes; different hair; different age; different species. Added scars, or missing ones; limbs missing, or replaced with something else. A completely unknown you in the mirror.

For the most part, these altered reflections act the way you would expect, imitating the movements of the rest of the reflections in the room. But sometimes they don't. Sometimes they climb out of the mirror - and whether they're friendly or not remains to be seen.

There's a note on the mirror-topped table next to the couch. In backwards writing that needs to be held up to a mirror to be read easily, it says:

Thanks for visiting! I'm sorry I couldn't be there to meet you, but there's just so many people here today!

I wonder if you'll get a chance to meet the real you?

Good luck!

new characters and visitors

For those who are new around here, the method of arrival is... a bit different. This applies equally to characters who are just here for the fourth wall (alternates of existing characters etc) or those who will be apped as permanent residents - there isn't a distinction to these categories until the end of the event.

These characters arrive with a first sensation of being pressed against a hard, glass surface - not unlike the whispers of sensation that haunted the existing passengers over the last few days. The difference is that this time, the glass you're pressed against isn't a horizontal floor or bed - it's vertical or at least mostly vertical, and you can tell which way is down.

Or, put another way: Newly arrived characters start their boatride on the wrong side of the mirrors that are packed away into the unknown deck. They are facing towards the real world side, the way they would if they were reflections made physical, but turning around and looking behind them is nearly impossible.

Indeed, there's a growing pressure forcing them against the glass barrier. It grows harder and harder to breathe, almost like drowning, or being crushed by water pressure -

Until, just when you think you can't survive any more, something gives way, and you stumble out of the mirror into the real world. It's not the glass breaking - it's more like forcing your way through a soap bubble or the membrane that sits inside an eggshell that separates the hard pieces from the white. Water, too, cascades down out of the mirror with you, splattering all over the floor, but it's just water, and it doesn't seem to have left more than a bit of surface dampness on you.

However, when characters turn around, they will find that while the glass is still in place and unbroken, the mirror will no longer reflect anything - not even the shine of light cast on the glass - rendering these mirrors completely black. This reflectivity stays on the puddle of water around your feet instead, which aggressively reflects the area around it even if taken elsewhere - even if poured into a cup. In motion, it's too transparent to be taken for mercury or silver, but when pooled undisturbed, it does not ripple in response to the motion of the ship. Only the actions of characters or other forces can cause ripples. Otherwise, it appears to be normal water.

Characters who are alternates of each other might come out of the mirrors while they're literally being reflected (a certain surprise for those who are on the normal side of the mirror doing the looking), but they might also just appear in rooms all by themselves, or in the presence of someone else they know (or think they know). Those who don't have any immediate connections among the current passengers are more likely to appear in some empty room, but ultimately this is left to player discretion.

shallower reflections

Not all reflections are as potentially friendly as those played by those of us on the player side of the screen, however. In addition to the "deeper" reflections played by real humans, who have or at least appear to have personalities and histories of their own, there are also "shallow" reflections. Unlike the Fourth Wall arrivals, shallow reflections can't be of characters who aren't present at the time - they only appear in response to characters looking into mirrors (whether those characters are existing residents or new arrivals).

The shallow reflections come out of the mirrors just like the Fourth Wall arrivals, but there's always something a little off about them. Some of them stay reversed like a reflection; some of them don't make any noise when they move and cannot speak; some of them come out of the mirrors with the funhouse-esque warped reflections and stay that way. Like their more 'real' counterparts, the mirrors the shallow reflections come out of turn completely flat, unreflective black; unlike their counterparts, they don't really hesitate in striding out, much less stumble and potentially collapse.

What do they want? To shove whoever they're a reflection of into the black mirror they came from. What happens if they succeed?

You die. I mean, probably. There's no way of knowing unless one of them does succeed, after all. If you want your character to die in this fashion, please let the mod team know. While we cannot guarantee that interesting things will happen to all characters (and those who are only here to visit for the Fourth Wall are not eligible), this may have permanent consequences for your character, take them out of play for longer ICly than a typical death, or impact other characters in the game beyond the typical levels of emotional harm. Or some combination of all three.

Fortunately, the shallow reflections only have physical strength on their side - they do not possess any powers of those they take the shapes of, and they can be killed in largely the same way as unremarkable flesh and blood humans. A killing blow causes them to collapse into the same hyper-reflective water as described above; the mirror they came out of remains black.

??? deck

The deck itself is open fully to character navigation. Like the lab specimen storage of Zinnia, this deck - whose name is not posted anywhere for characters to find easily - is clear of any signs of Growth, and manages to feel chilly even if you get up to the top deck where the sun is shining.

Or... Should be shining. Regardless of the weather on other deck dimensions, the skies above this deck are
always, at best, a cloudy, half-stormy grey. The air above hangs tense, like the clouds are waiting for something to happen. Unlike the other instances of Ship weather, you don't need Neuvillette's particular affinity with water to sense it - any character with empathic or telepathic powers will be able to feel the sense of looming, helpless frustration in the clouds.

The most notable feature of this deck, of course, is that it's full of mirrors. Indeed, it's not only the mirrors that are missing from the suite bathrooms, the public restrooms by the cafeteria, and so on - there are far more mirrors than the Ship would reasonably need to outfit the decks it has, even including the multidimensional nature of it. Mirrors hang from the walls, and then more mirrors lean against those, or against the other furnishings, or even against each other (since some of them are standing mirrors), and the groups against the walls are often five or six panels deep with the largest at the back the side of the glass panels of the Ship's sliding glass balcony doors. (Yes, those are also replaced by mirrors, reflective in both directions.) Tabletops are reflective in their own rights, and then littered with even more, antique-looking hand mirrors and makeup compacts and those little circular mirrors sold in bags by the dozen at the craft store, only an inch across.

Considering all the reflective surfaces, it might be a good thing that there is only emergency power supplied to this deck - enough to keep the guide lights on and ensure that the sliding doors (though not the elevators) are working, and that whatever system pumps water through the faucets and showers is still going. The water is all cold, however, and there isn't any food available on the deck so far as characters are able to find. In the place where characters are used to finding the cafeteria, there is instead a terrifying mirrored bar filled with empty bottles and glasses as well as - well. Take a guess.

With the exception of the sliding glass doors in the suites, the glass of windows and so forth seems to be what it should be - though it's more reflective than seems natural, too. Like Zinnia, the cleaniness of this deck means that characters have full run of it, all the way down to the lounge on the bottom of the Ship - which is the only place that isn't completely clean on this deck. The super-reflective water that pours out of the mirrors seems to have flowed down here at some point, where it sits, unaffected by the motion of the Ship, about an inch deep across the entire floor. This water is the only feature down in the bottom lounge - there is no furniture, in contrast to its Zinnia counterpart.

And on this floor, at the very bottom, and only this floor, the reflective water has the smell - only the smell, not any other qualities - of fresh blood.

The Ship will not answer characters here - although the terminals in the residential deck that can normally be used to communicate with it (in whatever limited capacity) are present, their screens are (of course!) mirrors, and unresponsive. There's also no signs of drones about, not even the basic roomba-like cleaning drones; there's no evidence that they've been here recently, either.

A follow-up log, in which the Ship manages to make contact with characters wherever they are, will be posted later (mod goal time is 2-3 weeks from now). That log will take place on Day 40 and will bring with it food (for everyone who has gotten very hungry by then) and drone assistance, but whether characters actually manage to escape at that point or later on on Day 42 is left open to the opinions of you, the players! Both current players and visitors will be able to vote in a Discord poll on the matter, to be posted in the Discord announcements channel tomorrow (after you've had the chance to sleep on this post and let it cook in your brains a little).

Happy playing! Questions can be asked on Discord or added to the usual questions header below this post.

Mirror mirror

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-02 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Robin has mostly cleaned herself off as the remaining blood is minimal so she decides to go wandering around in hope of finding a familiar face. What she absolutely was not expecting was finding... Kakavasha?? Same body type as the stoneheart and similar sense of style but the mirror mask is seriously throwing her off. Regardless she steps forward preparing to greet the only stoneheart she could tolerate.

"Well I wasn't expecting to see my favorite avgin here of all places? I would ask how you are enjoying your newfound freedom but I fear your just as trapped in this place as I am"

She says in her typical song song voice with a slight smirk, playing up the innocent tone to it, kakavasha had always liked it so she hoped it would have a similar soothing effect on this mirror him as well. Kakavasha was one of the very few people she could even remotely consider a "friend" so it would benefit to at least be in his good graces as she was unsure where they stood after the battle of Penacony...

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-02 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Favorite? I'm flattered, truly." The prostheses, even the way she moves--this isn't the interastral popstar that Roulette is passingly familiar with the face of. Another version of her? Who seems to know another version of him... "But my freedom is not particularly newfound--I fear you may have mistaken me for someone else." Though it would surely have to be another version of himself, for her to recognize him as an Avgin. He's been free since he killed his old master, belonging only to the Tavern. (And to Garnet, but that is nothing like a loss of freedom, not to him. There is nothing he needs more than his murderer's hand.)

He sweeps a bow, flicking a poker chip over his fingers and tossing it to her, the chip turning into a shower of golden sparkles in the air before it reaches her. "My name is Roulette. An honor to make your acquaintance. I take it you have no more idea where we find ourselves than I do?"

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-02 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh well this was truly fascinating

"Roulette.. I suppose once a gambler always a gambler...."

An alternate kakavasha? Alright robin focus this is probably not the weirdest thing you've delt with, she thought.

"Well my name is Robin Oak, head of the Oak family and master of Penacony. A pleasure to make your acquaintance my dear, and I am afraid I am just as clueless as you are to our location, wherever it is reminds me to much of the dormant dreamscape for me to be comfortable"

She probably shouldn't address him so informally considering she dose not have the same bond with this version of him but it is hard to shake old habits especially in her frazzled state. She walks forward to shake his flesh and blood hand with her own metallic limb, taking a mental note of where exactly both of her weapons are on her body, if he is anything like the aventurine she knows he could very well be extremely dangerous...
For now though she should be courteous if only a little guarded.
threechipsdown: (I'm so stylish)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-02 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Head of the Oak Family? Interesting." Roulette tilts his head, considering if he should share anything about the differences from his world... but he doesn't know her, and she's not being very forthcoming about the alternate him, so he'll keep it in reserve for now. "A very important personage, compared to a simple Fool like myself."

He shakes her hand easily, his gloved fingers light on hers, save the missing ring finger. (The glove is perfectly tailored around its absence.) "I'm afraid I've never been to Penacony, so I'm unfamiliar with its dreamscapes. It merely reminds you, however? You don't think we are in one?"

Fool.fool.fool
Fool
One word that can shoot straight up robins spine. The masked fools, sparkle.
She absolutely does not want to think of sparkle right now, not now not ever, however it did ring an interesting calling card. This kakavasha was a masked fool. That fit him.. a little too well..
Recomposed herself quickly hoping he didn't manage to catch the momentary slip up she managed a cool and neutral response.

"No I don't think we are in a dreamscape, of we where I'd be able to tell, for the average person it's indistinguishable, but for me..." She glances briefly at her still slightly bloody harmony arm. "For me I can always tell"
threechipsdown: (soft)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-03 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, the Fools definitely had a history of some kind with this Robin, that was quite a reaction, even mostly suppressed. He does her the courtesy of not acknowledging her slip--not that she could see any reaction on his face regardless, with his mask on and the mirrored illusion over it.

And that glance was interesting as well--something about her prostheses allows her to sense dreams more clearly? "Good to know," he allows. "Though I suppose that merely leaves the entire rest of the cosmos to contain us, and possibly beyond--since the Oak Family I know of is not headed by a Robin. I do think we come from different possibilities." An odd thought, the opposite of inevitability--it makes the Finality draping him feel strange. He wishes Garnet were here. Things would feel like they made more sense.

Thank fuck he didn't notice she thinks to herself, she needs to get an upper hand, find out what makes kakava- roulette tick.

"How fascinating please do enlighten me then my dear fool"

She says this as she's peering deep into her own reflection in the mask, trying to locate any sort of difference in it or perhaps trying to see through it all together. She could attempt to summon the harmony, "no that's a stupid idea he's friendly as a fool could be it's best to keep it that way..."

"I think we will get along just fine roulette, perhaps let's walk and talk"

she says as she motions forward, taking the lead even if it allows him to have the advantage of being behind her. Completely forgetting about how blood soaked the back of her jacket is.
threechipsdown: (looking over shoulder)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-03 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Would you tell me of your favorite Avgin in return, Miss Robin? A fair trade, to hear of each other." But since she's asked, and since he suspects the head of the Oak Family is a very strong Harmony Pathstrider, he acquiesces easily enough with at least a little information. "The head of the Oak Family in my world is named Sunday."

He follows after this Robin, raising an unseen eyebrow at the state of her clothing. "Are you well, Miss Robin? You appear to have sustained some injury."
order_dove: (Default)

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-03 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Well that answers her question. Of Sunday was in charge perhaps she was dead in that world... No he seemed to at least somewhat recognize her so that can't be the case.. hopefully... She pitys the poor version of her brother that would have to deal with the madman's orders, but that is a worry for another time.

"I am fine, I was simply in combat before I was... Transported here I suppose would be the best way to describe it..."

She says the last part with a slight chuckle, debating on if she should give up her information so easily to a fool. He was certainly no stoneheart and probably didn't pose nearly as big a threat to her as the kakavasha she knew so dearly. She trusted a fool once before and got whatever the fuck her relationship with sparkle is anymore... However he did answer her question, it is only fair.

"My 'favorite avgin' is a man named kakavasha, he is a very close friend of mine after I helped him deal with some... Personal problems and assisted him in his attempt at breaking free from the IPC."

She conveniently leaves out the part where he was a stoneheart or that her idea of helping was cold blooded murder as she figured he didn't need to know everything just yet. Completely ignoring the question about her status as she continues walking on a random direction with him.
threechipsdown: (talking earnest)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-03 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Do you need to... rest, in any way? That does appear to be a fair quantity of blood." Roulette is rather familiar with how much of one's own blood can soak one's clothes before it becomes an actual problem, and Robin doesn't appear to have quite hit that point, but it's still quite a bit of blood.

Roulette can't help his steps hitching for a moment at the sound of that name. The only one in his universe who knows it is his murderer. "He was trapped by the IPC?" he asks, instead. "How terribly unfortunate for any Avgin." Just as it is for any Aeragan. "I'm sure he was grateful for your assistance, if he loathes the IPC as much as I."
order_dove: (Default)

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-03 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
She scoffs playfully pretending to ignore the slight pause in his steps "bingo" she assures herself

"I would like to rest once we find a place to buy somehow I doubt this place has any half decent accomodations. But yes he was trapped by an ipc stoneheart so I assisted him with that little problem and now we .... Routinely meet up to for a nice chat, he is one of very few people I can be my self around.."

She misses kakavasha, she hates how loose her emotions are making her lips "this is a fool, he may wear his body. But this is not my kakavasha..." She repeats in her head, hoping for it to stick as she stops walking.

"I don't suppose you would know of anywhere we could go around here do you dear?"
threechipsdown: luca prismaticvoid drew this for me thank you luca <3 (mask)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-03 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Trapped by a Stoneheart? Which one?" Not Garnet, surely? He can't imagine any version of himself wanting to be freed from his murderer. Perhaps Jade?

He lets her slip of the tongue pass without comment, only filing away the information. It's useful to have someone instinctively trust him--he has very little to work with here, and he's not as strong in the Laughter as he used to be, since Finality started pulling him in.

"I've no idea, unfortunately. I've been here hardly any time, and the place is entirely unfamiliar to me. It does seem to be some kind of leisure ship, however--perhaps in the central areas there are larger facilities, rather than just rows of rooms full of mirrors. Or would could see if there's a top deck--it could be a planetbound vessel."
order_dove: (Default)

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-03 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
"that is probably wise we should start heading that way"

She says with a slight hum turning to start walking. She's internally debating on how much information she can give this man... Perhaps she can learn about sparkle or her brother, definitely her brother ugh why the hell did she think of sparkle first...

"I will tell you but I am also curious about some things of my own, do you know someone by the name of sparkle?"

The second the word leaves her mouth she's upset "why the fuck did you say sparkle SHE. DOES. NOT. MATTER." Ugh she could tear her own wings off she was so pissed off for a moment before regaining control of her mind. "This is exactly why father warned you about personal attachment you idiot" she curses her own name before turning around early awaiting his answer no matter how reluctant she was to ask for it.

What she did not notice was the eyes starting to open on her wings. The eyes of Ena.
threechipsdown: (cold)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-03 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Stairs are usually at the ends, I think, so perhaps the end of this hallway will let us go up." He continues pacing after her--following someone's example is always easy, and it's a good springboard for anything else.

"Sparkle? Another Fool. She has... different priorities than I do, but she's amusing enough. The Laughter likes her." Interesting that Robin asked about Sparkle before herself or her brother. He files the information away.

Roulette is very disconcerted to see eyes that look a great deal like his own opening on Robin's wings. He... does not want to question that, that might be a sensitive topic. And she doesn't seem to know that it's happening.
order_dove: (Default)

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-03 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
"oh I assume you two are not close in this world then.. interesting.."

She starts marching off twords the end trying to hide her disappointment still oblivious to the eyes opening in her wings as she debates holding up her end of the deal..

"Well you answered me I suppose I should answer you, I saved him from the IPC stoneheart Jade, it was not a fun or easy endeavor however it was rather satisfying to dispose of her after how she treated him"

She forces herself to simply say 'him' not aventurine not kakavasha... Just him. Best not to give the fool any additional ammunition after all.

She takes a deep breath and before she even realized THEY where there, the eyes disappear.

"Would you like to lead the way Mr roulette or shall I?"
threechipsdown: (more annoyed)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-03 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not terribly close to anyone," Roulette says lightly. Save for his murderer, and they've only met thrice--it's a strange closeness that they have.

"You killed Jade? How delightful. A vile woman, that." He thinks for a moment of Clementine casually dropping her guardian's name at the gala, so proud to be Jade's. Sickening. "She touches nothing she doesn't poison." She's certainly his least favorite Stoneheart, though of course he most wants to see Oswaldo Schneider dead. (And Garnet will let him, he's sure of it. Finality whispers to him, that he'll see that much done before the end.)

"Oh, you needn't call me so formally--I'm only a simple Fool, and you're a Family head, Miss Robin, you've much more status than I. If you would like me to take point instead, of course I can."

She stops suddenly and looks into his eyes, or rather where his eyes should be with a suspicious glare

"You should know better than I that there is no such thing as 'a simple fool', every masked fool is noteworthy in their own ways, I simply have yet to decide where you fall.."

She turns back around to continue walking

"But yes I did kill her, it wasn't an easy fight but once I was able to actually get to her it was trivial, for all her games she is remarkably fragile even in her own domain"

She continues walking in silence for a moment before deciding to break it once more.

"Who am I?.. in your world? You said Sunday was the family head so I'm assuming I am dead. But you also seemed to recognize me so I assume my death was a rather... Public affair..."

She says the last bit with a distasteful edge, she's long imaged her own death but she loathed the idea of leaving Sunday alone to fill that void...

Roulette laughs and lets the mirrored illusion over his real mask fade away, leaving white porcelain traced with gold and three closed eyes. "On the contrary, I think all Fools are simple in their own ways. It all boils down to the Laughter, after all." Leaving aside that his Path is slowly slipping away--Finality is both more and less simple than Elation.

"Dead? Certainly not. Sunday's sister Robin is an interastral star, one of the most popular singers currently performing. She's never been a Family head. She left Penacony to travel the stars." He's very interested to find out how this Robin Oak will react to that information.
order_dove: (Default)

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-03 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
She pauses again "a singer? I LET Sunday lead?? No no no that can't be right... It does sound remarkably easier though, I have always had a nack for it ..." She resumes walking snapping herself out of her thoughts

"A singer? I was allowed to leave Penacony? Truly a fascinating world you come from Mr roulette. I do pity the Sunday of that world however, he was never meant to be a leader..."

She briefly contemplates elaborating before deciding against it "a singer? A singer free to travel the stars... Oh what a life that would be...." She briefly mourns what could have been but stays her course "at the end of the day you don't matter robin, it is the people who matter and it is up to you to make sure they are safe" her father's words ring in her ears. Being far too deep in thought to even notice the mask change.
threechipsdown: (looking away a little)

"I had heard nothing bad of his leadership of Penacony, but I confess my research into the world focused mostly on the school, he was tangential. I had no great interest in Penacony." It's not an IPC world, and therefore a much lower priority target for his scams--and he's saving the casinos there for when he really needs it, because his luck invariably gets him banned from gambling houses.

[personal profile] order_dove 2025-02-03 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Fascinating, I suppose without me around Penacony might be much quieter after all"

She responds with a small chuckle before looking over her shoulder to finally see the mask well that's fucking weird... Not out of character for a fool though I suppose, frankly I'm surprised he didn't end the whole mirror face stich earlier

"Can't say I was expecting a mask under a mask but that seems just in character for a fool like you Mr roulette"

She says this and continues walking not noticing her reflections in the mirrors are changing and slowly beginning to look much closer to the robin roulette is familiar with.
threechipsdown: (tip of the hat)

[personal profile] threechipsdown 2025-02-03 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Perhaps," he agrees. He doesn't think Penacony is quiet, particularly, just not relevant to his personal interests.

"I'm a Masked Fool--what would I be without a mask? The mirror just seemed appropriate to our location." And either way, he hides his cursed-blessed Avgin eyes.

Roulette glances into the mirrors, seeing Robins that are smaller, with more of their original limbs intact, more the one he knew of. He wonders if the presence of someone who knows an alternate version of a person affects it... "Do you see your... favorite Avgin, in reflections of me?" he wonders aloud. He sees several different versions of himself, maskless, sometimes in chains, sometimes in expensive teal finery, but he doesn't know what the Kakavasha that Miss Robin aided looked like, if he's one of them.

She looks around and sees.. herself? what in the fuck is this...?? I.. have my limbs... My face. It practically looks pristine.. and that makeup. I guess in this version I was a little bit more willing to be open she thinks to herself with a smirk recalling just how long it took her to be able to don those colors comfortably without fear of fathers wrath.

" I do as a matter of fact, that one right there with the peacock coat.. it looks almost just like the ka-*ahem* the man i know. Of course that's not what the world knows you as my dear roulette but I'll save that for a little bit later."

She says the last part with a playful if not slightly sinister smirk wondering just how useful this little fool can be.

Robin Oak looks quite disconcerted by the version of her that looks like the popstar Robin--interesting.

"I assumed it wouldn't be," Roulette says lightly. "I can't imagine a version of me that would wear his name that easily--he has sunglasses over his eyes, even if they're less hidden than mine." It would be silly to pretend his eyes don't exist, when they're visible in so many of the mirrors. He has his illusion open all three, staring pink and blue at Robin, then close again. "I suppose we'll both learn more later."

Chills run down her spine as the mask opens it's eyes great now I wish he kept the fucking mirror on... I need to get his mask off, I need to see if this fool is really kakavasha or just another fool I should ignore.. and I have just the trade to offer...

"You are not the only one who can wield extra eyes you know.."

She mutters as the eyes on her wings open to THEIR full extent searching his very soul. She can feel the elation rolling off of him but.. it's almost tainted with something. perhaps the enigmata? Could he be similar to Gallagher in that regard? she quickly banished the thought not wanting to remember all the circles that hellish man left her in

"I propose a deal, I will tell you everything I know about the 'you' of my world. And in return you simply take off the mask.. allow me to see your true face and I'll reveal all you want to know"
